New Fire TV UI Coming to Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube Next Month

Amazon announced the new Fire TV interface in September of last year. It first rolled out the new UI to the Fire TV Stick (third generation) and Fire TV Stick Lite in December. The next devices to get it are the Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV, according to a report from Protocol.

The announcement of the rollout was made by Amazon Fire TV vice president and general manager Sandeep Gupta in an interview with Protocol. Gupta explained that Fire TV’s new user interface was a pretty radical overhaul for the team. Fire TV’s new user interface brings a new main menu to the Home screen. This allows users to scroll through different apps to preview their content and go directly to the shows they are currently watching. The main menu tab also has options for Search, Live, Library, and different apps.

Speaking of which, Find is also a new addition to the Fire TV user interface. This tool aims to help users easily find movies and TV shows to watch. It allows users to search for different content in popular categories including movies, TV shows, free content, and sports. It also has filters to narrow your search on Fire TV.

There is also a Live tab which shows all live content from different apps. Amazon rolled out the Live tab separately for Fire TV users in India last year in October. Alexa has also been improved in the new user interface of Fire TV. It can now include commands such as Alexa, go to live TV and Alexa, go to News Users can also set up an Alexa voice profile to quickly access your profile on Fire TV using the command “Alexa, go to my profile”.

Amazon plans to roll out the new UI to TVs with the built-in Fire TV operating system, as well as older streaming adapters in the coming months.
